{"id":3612,"date":"2016-03-27T21:39:58","date_gmt":"2016-03-27T19:39:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.yakinthia.gr\/en\/o-agios\/"},"modified":"2016-04-21T11:30:21","modified_gmt":"2016-04-21T09:30:21","slug":"o-agios","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.yakinthia.gr\/en\/o-agios\/","title":{"rendered":"\u039f \u0386\u03b3\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Saint Hyacinth (Agios Yakinthos) was a native from Caesarea in Cappadocia and lived during the reign of Emperor Traianus (98-117 AD).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was a man with an exceptional attitude and was chamberlain of emperor.\u00a0When Traianus ordered persecution against Christians, Hyacinth proclaimed his faith and did not hesitate to confess in front of the emperor that he was a Christian. As a result he was imprisoned with no food, unless he wanted to eat meat which had been blessed for sacrifice to the gods (the eating of which was banned by Christianity).
